Here are some exciting events that we're looking forward to!

New & Prospective Members' Tea
Held every August
Each year, this Tea offers the pleasure of welcoming new and prospective members to the chapter. The event is hosted by a chapter member and provides a friendly and educational afternoon highlighting the mission and activities of the DAR.
For more information, please contact us.
Seminole County Stand Down
Held every fall
Chapter members will be volunteering their time and energy to support our veterans in the Orange City Stand Down. The Stand Down will be a 3-day event, set up like a military base camp in which homeless and at-risk veterans as well as their families will be able to come in off the streets and receive basic social services from a variety of community and government agencies.

Central Florida Scottish Highland Games
Held every January
Stop by the tent to learn more about DAR, the Florida State Society of DAR, and Sallie Harrison Chapter. Meet our members and find out whether you might have a patriot ancestor in your family tree! This is a great opportunity to learn how you can become a member and be connected with a local chapter.
Annual Youth Awards and Tea
 February
This annual event recognizes local Seminole County students, their families, and guidance counselors with the presentation of the DAR Good Citizens Award, Christopher Columbus Essay Contest, and American History Essay Contest.

Memorial Day Parade
Join us and support this annual event in downtown, historic Sanford. Sallie Harrison Chapter members join 65+ organizations in this parade to honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
