The Sallie Harrison Chapter works within Seminole County to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism.

Central Florida Scottish Highland Games
Each January , for more than fifteen years, the chapter has participated in Scottish Highland Games held in Winters Springs as a community outreach. It is also a fun way to introduce members of the Scottish community to DAR. Annual Youth Awards Ceremony Every February, the Sallie Harrison Chapter honors the winners of the DAR Good Citizens Award and the American History Essay Contest.
