Our Ancestors

Over the past ten years and countless volunteer hours, the DAR's Genealogical Records Committee has indexed more than 20 million names from the library's collection to aid general genealogical research and to assist with the DAR membership process. DAR members across the state and country are passionate ambassadors for genealogical preservation and research, and committed to being premier providers of genealogical resources.

Within the Sallie Harrison Chapter, our members have traced their lineage to more than 200 patriots of the American Revolution. Here are a few patriots from whom our members  descend. For your convenience, these are listed in both alphabetical and state order.

Become a Member

Tracing your lineage is valuable because it preserves your family’s heritage. At the very least, you will need to gather documents for yourself, your parents, grandparents and possibly great-grandparents.

Members of the Sallie Harrison Chapter NSDAR are willing and able to provide guidance and assistance to women who think they may be eligible for membership.
Find out if your Revolutionary War era ancestor has already been proven!
